Charles Oliveira (-145) enters this bout riding an impressive eight-fight win streak, most recently defeating Tony Ferguson in December 2020 by second-round submission to earn the interim lightweight title. He now faces Michael Chandler in a title unification bout, who enters as the reigning lightweight champion after defeating Dan Hooker in his UFC debut in January 2021 by first-round knockout, just two months removed from his successful title defense against Benson Henderson at Bellator 243 last November where he also won by first-round knockout . These are two of the most talented and well-rounded lightweight fighters in the world today, which should make for an excellent title fight Saturday night

Featherweight

The highly anticipated UFC 262 will feature a title rematch between current champion Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira and former champion Michael Chandler. The event will take place on Saturday, May 15 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

The main event will be a rematch for the UFC Featherweight Championship. The first fight between these two ended with a doctor’s stoppage due to an eye injury suffered by Chandler in the second round. Since then, both men have gone on to win fights, with Chandler most recently defeating Benson Henderson at UFC 257 in January.

The co-main event will be a lightweight bout between Tony Ferguson and Beneil Dariush. This will be Ferguson’s first fight since his loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 249 in May 2020. Dariush is coming off of back-to-back wins against Drakkar Klose and Diego Ferreira.

Also on the main card is a women’s strawweight bout between Katlyn Chookagian and Viviane Araujo. Chookagian is coming off of a loss to Jessica Andrade at UFC247 in February, while Araujo most recently defeated Joanne Calderwood at UFC Fight Night 180 in October 2020.

The main card will begin at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN pay-per-view.

Lightweight

The time has finally come. After a postponement and several reschedulings, UFC 262 is finally here. The main event features a lightweight title bout between championCHARLES OLIVEIRA and former champion MICHAEL CHANDLER.

The co-main event is also a lightweight bout, this time with BENNY SAUCEDO taking on JORDAN LEAVITT. The rest of the main card features some great fights as well, such as MATT FREVOLA vs. JOAO Paulo de oliveira in the featherweight division, LANDO VANNATA vs. MIKE GROSS in the lightweight division, and AMANDA RIBAS vs. KATELYN WOODS in the women’s strawweight division.
